The use of biocomponent additives in fuels threatened the development of microorganisms in fuel tanks, pumps and pipelines.
Bacteria, fungi and molds need a very small amount of water to develop and cause clogging and corrosion of filters and tanks. In response to the needs of operators and repair companies for the test possible to perform at the station, a quick and easy-to-use FUELSTAT ™ test was introduced.
This is a test not used so far in our country, which gives us the opportunity to accurately assess the presence of microorganisms in the fuel tank, due to the use of two components of the set, containing different amounts of substances detecting impurities. This is a great advantage in comparison to research based on fungal growth, providing results only after 72 hours.
Testing with the FUELSTAT ™ kit measures the amount of active spores in the sample, while indicating remedial measures. This is a more modern, faster and cheaper measurement system than the old CFU measurement, because so far tests for the presence of microorganisms had to be carried out in accredited laboratories.
