Remote inspection of the interior of the tank - an inspection robot
Remote internal revision using a robot is an innovative service consisting in carrying out a visual assessment of the condition of the internal surface of steel walls of tanks intended for storing inflammable liquid materials. It is performed using a video camera operating in the system with a visualization unit (monitor). The study is treated as an auxiliary test during internal audit, as part of periodic and ad hoc testing of tanks by the UDT inspector. The service can be performed for testing tanks with vertical or horizontal axes, ground, crammed or underground axes and wherever human access is difficult. The service of remote internal revision together with the method of safe cleaning of tanks enables carrying out preliminary operations on the tank without employees entering its interior.
The construction of the self-moving trolley and the rotating vision head allows their use in conditions of complete flooding with water. The system allows you to overlay images that are recorded and displayed on the monitor, allowing quick identification of the area under examination along with a simultaneous record of the distance (meters) traveled by the camera. Archiving of the performed video inspection is carried out on an HD disk and DVDs, which greatly facilitates their storage and cataloging, and the widespread use of the DVD standard allows for immediate access to a copy of the client immediately after the execution of the ordered work./p>
Safe tank cleaning
After pumping out the fuel, a tank, due the presence of vapours in its interior, is a very explosive environment, and as such presents a major threat to the safety of the people working in the area.
To eliminate the explosion hazard, our second level research and measurement laboratory has developed a proprietary safe method for degassing and cleaning fuel tanks. This method allows to significantly reduce the presence of people in the hazardous area during the preparation of the fuel tank for further work, which greatly increases the safety of the works. This method has been approved by the OHS and fire safety experts, which confirms that we carry out work in compliance with the applicable occupational health and safety regulations and with fire and environmental protection laws for fuel stations and depots.
The innovation of our service has been additionally recognised and received the award of the Office of Technical Inspection and the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels at the 18th "Fuel Station" International Fair in 2011. The innovative method of cleaning and degassing tanks is unique in its kind on the Polish market and has been submitted for registration in the Patent Office under No. 391542.
During any operations we observe the rules that minimise the risk levels. These include, among others:
- Protection of workers at each cleaning phase
- Continuous measurement of vapour concentration using an explosion monitoring system
- Use of intrinsically safe tools and equipment.
Internal and external inspection of tanks together with the Office of Technical Inspection
Our company prepares and conducts periodic internal inspections of tanks with the participation of the Inspector of the Office of Technical Inspection together with the leak test of the storage space.
We perform the tests using the pneumatic method: Certificate of Recognition No. DT-ZB-063 / C / 11 or hydraulic depending on the Customer's preferences and the guidelines of the Office of Technical Inspection.
On special request, we also perform tightness tests of technological installations.
